“Interferences”
Olivier Swiz & Pavel Rtue
The physical phenomenon of interference refers to the overlapping of waves to amplify or attenuate their intensity.
The exhibition brings together the works of two artists who create their works by successively superimposing layers of paint and textures.
Their approach is based on the intuitive exploration of the interactions between different elements, where each new layer enters into dialogue with the previous one, partially masking it or, on the contrary, revealing it.
This is manifested by the combination and empirical arrangement of colors, shapes and textures, resulting in a unique composition.
The final result is always unpredictable, as the artists respond to the changes that occur during the process.
The works represent a search for harmony between the different layers and elements, resulting in a complex visual structure.
Sometimes, the result remains unexpected even for the artists themselves: the meaning may not reveal itself immediately and may require time or a new experience to be fully grasped.
