

Biography
Julie Joly is a french artist based in Paris practicing wire sculpting since 2015.
Born in 1989 in France, Reunion Island, she grew up in an environment where writing and art played an important role. After studying political science and working in communication in the luxury industry, she decided to choose an artistic path. Since then, she has been devoting herself to sculpting.
Through the use of wire, her project is to create artworks at the boundary of drawing and sculpture.
Sketches in three dimensions, her creations echo the movements of a drawer's hand. Since in volume, each sculpture can be seen through different points of view. It evolves in space according to the position of the spectator. The artist mainly focuses on the human body and tries to underline its essential lines, alternating angles and curves.
