Biography
Pascal Buclon is a French artist born in 1959.
At first it was through the creation of advertising images and ordinary objects that Pascal Buchon expressed his vision of the world. He then shifted to sculpture, painting and drawing always using a lot of colors and contemporary details.
He gets inspired by everyday life, photography and comics and he incorporates its own social, political and religious ideas in a sort of implicit way in his pieces, placing them in a narrative figuration style.
He highlights the contrasts by using a clear line and uses black for the contour line, creating a mosaic effect with the help of flat colors. His characters are abstract from near but they take shape as the eyes move away.
