Franck Antoine Bail

Antoine Bail said Franck Bail, born August 15, 1858 in Paris where he died March 20, 1924. He is a French painter.

Born into a family of artists from Lyon, Franck Bail was the son of the painter Antoine-Jean Bail, who taught him the trade, and the disciple of his brother, the painter Joseph Bail. He was also a student of Jean-Léon Gérôme and Carolus-Duran.  Franck Bail painted portraits, interior scenes of the rural world, still lifes and flowers. He painted in the Paris region and in Auvergne. The Bail brothers also worked in Chasselay.

His studio was located at no 70 rue de Rochechouart in Paris. He was made a knight of the Legion of Honor on August 8, 1920.
