Biography
Tejinder Kanda:
After graduating from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh in 1989, the Artist's journey began with serigraphs and abstract intaglio processes. He later embraced realism and the bold impasto technique. "In-Within," a series of impasto acrylic works, marks a return to basics and the "unknown," where the Artist's journey oscillates between various artistic expressions, known and unknown.
This series reflects a shift towards objectivity, depicting overlapping souls rather than subjective self-expression. It explores a deeper, spiritual process where the Artist becomes a vessel for energies that flow from soul to body to canvas, manifesting pure creativity. The works represent a state of trance, celebrating life through playfulness and dance, transcending meaning, and creating a sense of cosmic unity. The Artist's journey remains mysterious, capturing the essence of unknowingness and shunyā.
