Biography
Maya is of Lebanese origin currently residing in Dubai, UAE, where her parents moved after the civil war broke out. Having obtained a BA in Interior Design in 2004 and though not formally trained in painting Maya found herself constantly drawn to her Art.
Her work is a personal study, an attempt to understand the basis of human behavior, religion, and politics. Her adopted style is abstract, in a reminder to read between the lines. Maya's work is not intended to be obvious, but to inflict thought or emotion.
