Presentation

Vladimir Bazan was born in 1953 in Russia. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Art at the Pedagogical Institute in 1978, and in 1980 he became a photo-reporter in a high circulating newspaper namely « Constructeur », collaborating with editions all around USSR.

In 1989, Vladimir Bazan created a first non-governmental newspaper in Belarus called the "Vitebsky Kurier"with the photographer Vitebsk Igor Leikin, though this hasn't been published since May 2007 (all the non-governmental newspapers of the country are inflicted with this).

Photography is a big part Vladimir's life and profession. He doesn't let go off his camera, even during vacation. He is always attentive, his soul reacts to every single event of the human life and the phenomenons of nature.

He has several personal exhibitions under his belt, in Germany (Hamburg), Poland (Golenev), Estonia (Tallinn), Lithuania (Kaunas), Latvia (Riga, Daugavpils), Norway (Oslo) and Belarus (Vitebsk, Minsk, Brest, Borisov Slonim Baranovichi). His photos have been included in several private collections in Germany, Belarus and the United States.

He was honored quite a few times with the «Diplôme d'honneur» in Geneva, a gold medal at the USSR exhibition, first prize at the international photo competition in «Zeiss-Praktica» and several diplomas. In 2007, at «The Epoch Times First Grand Photography Competition» in U.S.A, he was decorated with a medal for the "perfect mastery" for his «Jeu de dames» photo.
