Pipilotti Rist is a contemporary visual artist, born in Switzerland in 1962. She is best known for her experimental video art and installation art, often with a distinct feminist thematic exploration. Her work is often multi-sensory, highly-saturated with color, and includes areas for viewers to sit and immerse themselves in the art. Her work Ever is Over All was referenced by Beyoncé in the film accompanying her Lemonade album.
The artist has showcased her work in several international galleries, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the San Francisco MoMA, and the Utrecht Centraal Museum in the Netherlands.
