Biography
Koen Soberon is a Belgian artist born in 1971. He practices photography, installation, painting and numerous other mediums. He gives a philosophical and didactic dimension to each one of his pieces, giving the opportunity of interpretation and suggestion. When he paints, his abstract pieces reveal a reality transmitted by the pictorial language of the artist, related to the title of the artwork.
Koen Soberon's work has been exhibited in Belgium as well as throughout Europe, United Kingdom, the Netherland, Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain. He has won the Plame d'or of the "European Artistic Merit" two years in a row in 2014 and in 2015 in De Panne, Belgium. In 2017, his work was rewarded with the "Beam your Drive Award 2017", given by the TETEM artcenter in Enschede, the Netherlands.
