Alan Berg is a French multi-disciplinary artist, born in 1958. Right from the age of 14, Alan Berg did oil painting by copying famous paintings. He quickly developed his passion, namely the world of Walt Disney and comics from the 50's and 60's. He did photography on the side, initiated in a laboratory, created in an alcove at his parent's pace. Today, Alan Berg mixes all these influences to make up paintings on screen with the photos he took in USA (mainly New York) which were stored since more than 40 years.
He uses a unique creation process where he looks around in his old collection of magazines, newspapers, posters, flyers from the 50's and 60's...miscellaneous elements to make up a hybrid and prolific creation. He works relentlessly using the digraph technique but also collages with acrylic and various other mixtures.
