Biography

Painting, drawing or even digital art, I make everything "by hand", whether using brushes, pencils or a graphics tablet connected to the computer. I use the constraints and the qualities of these tools according to my desires and research, with the common thread of a double gesture: I spread and I trace, emphasizing the forms that I guess in the hubbub of the tasks.

Via the reflective surface, the techniques with which I play respond and complement each other by varying the very nature of what I produce over time. Half-abstract / half-figurative, my paintings speak and transcribe feelings through color; characters per line. The human being is an omnipresent subject in my work: more or less identifiable, he often navigates among more wild, instinctive abstract backgrounds. There is no model to reproduce or to translate: the faces are invented, the bodies are transformed, stretched, become malleable and composite to intertwine with the other forms glimpsed according to the gaze.

I conceive my images as a game, the visible part of which is only the result of a creative process. With always this desire to bring out in the other associations of images, emotions, stories to appropriate, pleasure to contemplate...
