Véronique Dumont Sculptrice

Véronique Dumont has always been passionate about the earth and the image of Man, which she represents through her bust portraits and her bodies in bronze or patinated terracotta without ever working from a model. Self-taught, trained by books and diligent practice in her studio located in the Paris region, where she is from, the artist has only been sculpting for a few years. Her work, sensitive and very precise, yet already demonstrates an impressive maturity and technical mastery.

The sculptures of Véronique, of a great expressiveness, invite to the meeting of the Man approached in his diversity. They populate a living and singular universe whose discovery sometimes challenges by the force of certain powerful faces tanned by life, softened by the softness of skilfully sketched features; seizes the next moment with the intensity of a kiss, questions with an attitude, the mystery of a gesture or even the enigma of a message hidden behind closed eyes.
