Christiane Erard

Christiane Erard was born en 1952 in La-Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. After the art school of this city and an apprenticeship with Rémy Pellaton, she follows a varied route that leads her through Berlin, Cologne and Milan. From 1976 to 1986, the artist lives in Mexico where she teaches drawing and realizes wooden wall works.

Back in Europe, she settled in Brussels. From 1992, she began to carve stone, clay work and glass techniques, while participating in numerous exhibitions in Belgium and at a major international exhibition that runs through Paris, Wuppenthal, Venice, Milan, Avignon ...

The artist invites us to discover and to feel through his works made of clay, iron and bronze how united we are in this great human adventure.

Thanks to the symbolism of her art, she touches what is most subtle in us.
