Art Curator Japan is proud to present this exceptional collaboration between photographer Patrice Delmotte and maze artist Baptiste Tavernier.
Patrice Delmotte was born 1951 in Roubaix, France. He moved to Asia in 1979 and worked in several fields until 2005 when he decided to work as a photographer and author full time. His cultural influences are diverse: from Japan to China, and Indonesia or Taiwan.
On a more technical level, Delmotte finds his inspiration into Sebastião Salgado's works, and also into the Italian and Flemish chiaroscuro. Although he has worked on numerous artistic projects, Delmotte's favorite and expert theme is the women's body, which he often sublimes with tulle effects.
