Biography
Jade was born in 1974 in Clamart, France.
In the silence of the studio, Jade sculpts. She dipped her hands in the dirt at the age of 5 and never got them out. She models then engraves in the earth small souls charged with emotions. Prisoners in their coats, like a tattooed second skin, scarified. The face is precise, the body is evoked.
Jade envelops her characters, weaves clay cocoons. When the looks of her sculptures become too present and the bodies too talkative, she returns to the poetry of houses, trees and mountains.
An intimate universe as if from an ageless and timeless tale where sweetness and melancholy mingle. The imagination entrusts itself to matter.
