Sylvie Mangaud is a French sculptor born in 1961.
After her graduation, Sylvie Mangaud turned at first to photography before finally deciding for sculpture. The latter allows her to explore the human body and its shapes, which she studies since she took some courses of morphology.
In her sculptures, Sylvie Mangaud focuses mostly on the line, for her nude and animal sculptures she lets herself be carried away by her creativity, which not always follows the laws of nature. Her pieces are always slender and light.
