His passion for drawing emerged early, leading him to explore painting in a self-taught manner before refining his skills at the Faculty of Plastic Arts in Bordeaux. There, he deepened his understanding of artistic expression, initially focusing on plein air painting and landscape themes before shifting towards a more introspective, studio-based approach.
Ducos's recent works reflect a renewed exploration of form and narrative, with exhibitions planned in major French and European galleries. His influence in both the contemporary painting and illustration worlds continues to grow, making him a sought-after artist for collectors and publishers alike.
Ducos's work is characterized by an ever-evolving creative process. Rather than settling into a singular style, he embraces change, challenging himself with each new series. His paintings explore composition, color, and narrative in a way that keeps his artistic identity fluid and dynamic. He regularly exhibits his works at the Philippe Fregnac Gallery in Paris, where his paintings continue to attract collectors and art enthusiasts.
Alongside his painting career, Ducos pursued studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, where he trained in volume and illustration. This dual expertise allowed him to publish his first book, "Jeu de Track" (2006) with Volubilis, marking the beginning of a successful parallel career as an author-illustrator. Today, his illustrated works are widely recognized, blending artistic sensibility with engaging storytelling.
He currently lives and works in Bordeaux, where he continues to push the boundaries of his artistic expression, ensuring that his work remains innovative, fresh, and ever-evolving.
