Angel Souza, a Brazilian painter, was born in 1979 in the city of Viamao and grew up in the capital of the Rio Grande do Sul region, Porto Alegre.
Her career in the arts began 16 years ago with the creation of Venetian masks in plaster and papier-mâché.
In 2000 she attended the University of Fine Arts of Porto Alegre for one year and then, as a self-taught artist, she perfected her technique of oil painting, which allowed her to create new works.
Her most frequent sources of inspiration are the sensuality of the feminine universe and flowers. Today Angel has two series of paintings: "Lis flores" and the series "Désir". Sometimes using warm colours to evoke passion, the use of black has allowed her to create works evoking solitude or abstraction of space.
Her paintings are rarely realistic and in particular without faces so that the observer can identify himself. She considers her nudes as "souls" and exploits colours to express feelings.
Arriving in the South of France more than 15 years ago, Angel has shared her life between work, family life and her passion for painting.
