Biography
Born in Fribourg in 1974, Hanna Nitsch studied at first philosophy and German at the University of Fribourg. In 1997, she was accepted by the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe under the direction of Professor Peter Dreher and Professor Silvia Bachli. She continued her applied arts studies at the HBK Brunswick.
The portraits of Hannah Nitsch reflect the innocence and mischief of childhood. She paints children, especially her own, in a dreamlike colorful world. Using almost exclusively ink paint, the vivid colors are pouring down, they mix and create textures. Her works are delicate and poetic.
