Biography
Eugenio Bonivento (born June 8, 1880 in Chioggia and died November 12, 1956 (aged 76) in Milan) was an Italian painter of the first half of the 20th century.
Eugenio Bonivento studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Later, he became the favorite pupil of Guglielmo Ciardi, who shared the same poetic and pictorial predisposition, fueled by the same Venetian spirit. In his paintings, he essentially paints the lagoon and the Venetian countryside.
Among his exhibitions, we can mention his numerous participations in the Venice Biennale: in 1912 and then three consecutively in 1920, 1922 and 1924.
His paintings are kept at the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan, the International Gallery of Modern Art in Venice, the Municipal Museum of Bassano del Grappa, the Museum of Italian Art in Lima, the art collection of the Banca Commerciale Italiana and the Pinacoteca Giovanni Morscio in Dolceacqua.
