Born in Italy, Carlotta Bertelli lives and works in Carpi.
Carlotta Bertelli works successfully in the world of fashion. In parallel, she participates - in Italy, where she lives and works - in competitions organized by museums and institutions. Like many of her colleagues, who live for fashion and catalogs or advertisements, she doesn’t want to be reduced to that job, she considers it as bread and butter work and also a training for her vocation as an artist.
During a shooting, Carlotta Bertelli, accidentally decreased the shutter speed of the camera, and realized she can use a flashlight in the manner of a brush. Since then, the night became her canvas and she transformed herself into a "light painter". Carlotta delivers a refreshed version of the chiaroscuro; her motto: one who works in the dark learns to see with his heart, the allusion to the Little Prince by Saint-Exupery is obvious...
