Biography
Dylan Lewis is a South African sculptor. Born in 1964 into an extremely artistic family, his father was also a celebrated sculptor and his mother a painter, it is unsurprising that Lewis has enjoyed a prolific artistic career.
Informed by his study of taxidermy, Lewis' bronze animal sculptures have cemented his position as one of the foremost contemporary figurative sculptors. Lewis has enjoyed two solo auctions of his works with Christie's auction house, in 2009 and 2018. The Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden in South Africa is dedicated to his creations.
