Rafael Jimenez graduated in Fine Arts in the specialty of engraving and design by the University of Seville, Rafael Jiménez begins his trajectory in the world of graffiti and urban art, realizing murals and participating in numerous events in Spain, exploring different expressive languages around the Painting and urban space.
Rafael Jiménez, better known as the artist of plasticine, uses this material to cover, deform and interpret ... That brings to his pieces a voluminous, tactile character. Always starting from recognizable iconic images to distort and deform them, images that by themselves or their content pass to posterity for some reason, and that determine our way of "remembering" or associating a specific historical or personal fact. This causes in the viewer the constant search of the character or characters between the deformed strokes that make up the image.
