Launched in March 2023, the “À travers" collection is the result of a continuous evolution of Pidzi Hart's artistic thinking. Initially made up of works in an experimental state, this series has matured to include today between 80 and 90 pieces, reflecting a diversity of formats and dimensions. It embodies an approach where evolution is perpetual and the search for new creative dynamics incessant.

Each piece in “Through" is a reflection on traditional aesthetic norms, proposing a reversal where each artistic action is laden with meaning. What initially appears to be a simple opposition between white and black turns out to be a complex superposition of shades of black. Using black acrylic paint to cover the entire canvas, Pidzi Hart sets up a monochrome background on which he will then intervene with pure water. This final step is not simply an artistic gesture, but a revelation: the water, moving and vibrant, passes through the fresh black paint to uncover and expose the white hidden beneath.

This interplay between water and paint not only creates a smooth visual texture that can evoke photographic or etched prints, but also engages the viewer in deeper reflection. The process invites contemplation of universal themes such as the duality between appearance and disappearance, reality and illusion. These themes are explored through oppositions such as black and white, abstraction and figuration, capturing the very essence of visibility and invisibility.

Beyond its aesthetic qualities, the collection “À travers" is a dialogue between the materiality of art and its ability to transcend ordinary perceptions to reach a deeper level of meaning. Each work is a window into Pidzi's creative process, where the viewer is invited to rediscover the familiar in a completely new and surprising way.
