Biography

Born in 1958 in London, Tim Flach is a world famous photographer working especially in animal photography. He is a typical example of the photographer and reporter who achieved recognition in the artistic photography world. He has also written three books: ?Equus?, ?Dogs Gods? and ?More than Human?.

A graduate of the North East London Polytechnic and of Saint Martin's School of Art, he has been working independently since 1983. He is an official photographer for the Sunday Times, the Cirque du Soleil, Sony, Hermès and the Locarno International Film Festival. Two of his pieces became postage stamps in 2000.

His work is marked by a search of anthropomorphism that goes beyond the traditional animal portrait. He is fascinated by the tendency of ?humanizing? animal images.
