Biography

Artist Statement:

I have been privileged to live in places as diverse as tropical South Texas, Malawi in southern Africa, and the Intermountain American West and have found that the transparent nature of watercolor makes it a wonderful medium to depict the life and beauty of those places.

I'm drawn to places of intense color and dramatic shadows. Painting helps me to really see the colors and shapes of what is around me and to bring that world to others. It also gives me a great excuse to travel and to meet a wide variety of people with interesting stories.
