Biography

American artist Adrian Todd Webb aka Toddbot, has been creating comics and music for the past 20 years. He is an author of a number of graphic novels and comics designed for all ages. The most renowned publications are , , and . Throughout his career, Toddbot had many solo and group exhibitions. The artist is best known for drawing a picture of people in crayons for one dollar at all his events.

Toddbot has collaborated with his long-time friend artist Dan Goodsell in creating one of his best-known works entitled . Targeting all ages, the comic book series has quickly found a faithful fan base. Several years before, the artist worked with legendary rock star Robert Schneider from the band The Apples in Stereo. They created the successful children's music project entitled . The project, over time, evolved, and they were able to publish a comic book, an animated video on Yo Gabba Gabba!, a cd, and a coloring book.

For the frontman of The Presidents, Chris Ballew, he animated the video and Bento Box Entertainment. The artist alias behind which he is best known as the musician is Seamonster. In 2012 he played his music at the Selden Arcade Art Market.

Even though Toddbot is fascinated with all thing monster, his graphic novels, and comic books are for readers of all ages. In 2020 he began a daily comic strip, , which today has featured in three book collections and more in the plans. It depicts a poet of the unknown name who often sits in a park on his favorite bench, talks to the pigeons, and gazes at the sky. It was the first book of its kind, and Toddbot became a pioneer of the so-called comic strip diary genre, together with artists James Kochalka, author of , and Drew Weing, author of . Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art featured his book .

Adrian Todd Webb regularly exhibits his work with the renowned Gallery1988 in Los Angeles and New York. In 2018 he had a group show at the gallery with artist Dan Goodsell entitled . The artist is also active online, as he has illustrated the online comic , featuring the stars of the tv show The Adventures of Pete & Pete. In 2019 Toddbot had a solo exhibition at Cure Coffeehouse, which also featured his music which is a mix between ambient electronics and synthy indie pop. Toddbot lives and works in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
