Skyler Grey has been referred to as “the Fresh Prince of Street Art," and an inheritor of the legacies of artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.
Grey created his first professional piece, Queen Amy Winehouse (2012), at the age of 11; it became his most widely circulated painting. He was featured in Forbes's “30 Under 30, Art and Style Edition" in 2017 and was the official artist for the 2018 MLB All Star Game. Grey's best-known paintings appropriate images from pop culture: he combines characters such as Mickey Mouse and Popeye with luxury fashion logos such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Hermès.
Grey fuses bold colors, silkscreen, spray paint, and acrylic paint with street art techniques to create a distinct style that reveals new findings after continuous viewing.
