Antonius Driessens is a Dutch sculptor born in 1972. He lives and works today near Aix-en-Provence. He has a degree from the Design Academy Eindhoven and from the School of Fine Arts of Utrecht.
After graduating, Antonious started a career in the field of communication, it was thanks to this profession that he was able to incorporate digital techniques to his artistic practice. Pretty quickly, he started working professionally in this field.
Antonius Driessens' favorite material is wood, with this noble material he can create paintings-sculptures, artworks that are a combination of both practices. All of Antonius's pieces are done with recycled wood, he is the first artist to incorporate pieces of burned wood in his pieces.
