Work in ink and charcoal on Arche paper from the "Curvas" series. The principle of composition is inspired by the figure of the Borromean knots, the Baroque emblem of the Borromean princes taken up by Lacan for his topology of the psychic apparatus. A reference to psychoanalysis echoing the caregiver's experience in psychiatry as well as the transposition into pictorial practice of the temporal scansion of sessions and free association. What is deconstructed here is the practice itself and not the idea or the representations that we have of it. Lacan against Derrida. It consists of an assembly of three braided circles in such a way that if one comes off the other two are free. Flat areas, gestures and lines "weave" the shapes of the composition. Its title is taken from a short story by Malcom Lowry “Pompeii today” pointing to the double meaning of the word “curva” in Italian. It is signed lower right and delivered in a tube.
