In this work, from “Window on the lake" series, the artist, who is an adept of contemporary realism and fiction. This work masters the art of capturing the essence of a suspended moment between nature and domestic comfort, encouraging the viewer to immerse themselves in this serene, harmonious setting.
This captivating work depicts an interior scene that opens onto an enchanting landscape, creating a harmonious juxtaposition between inside and outside. The center of the composition is dominated by a comfortable sofa, whose soft beige hues are enhanced by two cushions, one green and the other gray. The real focal point is the framed window, through which a spectacular landscape of green mountains and a brilliant blue lake can be seen. The panorama is an invitation to escape and contemplate. Shades of green and blue blend skillfully, evoking an atmosphere of tranquility and serenity. On the coffee table to the left, a vase of dried flowers offers a contrasting texture, adding a warm, organic element to the ensemble. A small painting hanging on the wall presents another natural scene, echoing the main view, reinforcing the nature theme. Born in 1970, Gabriel Riesnert lives and works in Paris and south of France.
Since his early age Gabriel Riesnert has been fascinated by the beauty of plant forms and urban architectural lines. His passion pushes him to a practice of painting and drawing between photographic inspiration and urban realism. The artist's consideration of painting is essentially turned to a representation of what we see and perceive of these forms, whether they provide a fiction or an impression of beauty, of serenity.
Beyond the visual, the creation of a work for Gabriel Riesnert is an interpretive experience and a journey intimately linked to space and time. His paintings often represent spaces and forms that are inspired by the tradition of the natural and architectural landscape.
