甘仁村 Kam Zin Choon (1931, Singapour) fait partie de l'Ecole de Paris d'Après-Guerre.
Lise Cormery écrit sur lui dans son ouvrage « L’Art de l’Ecole de Paris d’Après-Guerre », Editions Michelangelo, Paris, 2020, « Kam Zin Choon étudie à la Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts de Singapour et au Royal College of London. Grâce à une bourse de Singapour il part vivre à Paris pour étudier aux Beaux-Arts.
Il est exposé dès 1952 avec l'artiste autrichien Hundertwasser dans la Galerie internationale d'avant-garde du célèbre Raymond Duncan, Akademia (1947-1966), 31 rue de Seine à Paris. Visionnaire, Raymond Duncan crée le Prix de Paris et le Prix de New York afin de promouvoir ses artistes dans un esprit de paix internationale et faire voyager leurs œuvres pour un plus large public. L'exposition désormais historique de La Galerie Raymond Duncan en 1952 "Exposition d'art contemporain" à laquelle participe Kam Zin Choon provoque des réactions hostiles et, en signe de contestation, on casse la vitrine de la galerie Raymond Duncan en y lançant un pavé. Raymond Duncan expose aussi Bissière, Goetz, Lu Chong Min de Singapour. A la même époque René Drouin fait faillite en exposant dans sa galerie Kandinsky et Klee.
Durant son séjour en France de 1952 à 1959, l'œuvre de Kam Zin Choon est foisonnante, tour à tour d'inspiration chinoise avec "La rizière", ou "La Cité Interdite", elle se tourne un temps vers ses grands dessins occidentaux classiques à la mine de plomb avec sa série de nus, "Les Parisiennes". Kam Zin Choon s'investit aussi dans une recherche de type cubiste avec "Le Joueur de Banjo" ou "Paysage au bord de l'eau" et une quête d'abstraction avec "Abstraction I" et "Abstraction II". Enfin il s'épanouit dans des compositions magistrales où sa grande maitrise du dessin oriental s'allie au dessin occidental et l'art de la calligraphie le dispute à une représentation du mouvement abouti avec "Les courses de chevaux" et "Les courses de bateaux."'

Presentation

Kam Zin Choon (1931, Singapour) 甘仁村 belongs to the Post War Ecole de Paris. ' Kam Zin Choon is a Chinese from Singapore, he studies at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Singapore and at the Royal College of London. Thanks to a scholarship from a group of wealthy patrons he arrives in Paris in February 1952. He studies at Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1952 until 1959 and will have many Solo Shows in Paris and in Europe. The famous Raymond Duncan organizes him Solo Shows in his Paris Gallery, 31, rue de Seine, and his New York Gallery, 22 East 72nd Street New York, from 1952 until his return to his country, in 1959. At that time Duncan shows as well the Austrian painter Hundertwasser and the painter Lu Chong Min, from Singapore. Raymond Duncan  historical "Exposition d'art contemporain" in 1952 provokes hostile reactions, the window of his gallery is broken with stones. But, let's not forget that during these years René Drouin goes bankrupt since he shows the art of Klee and Kandinsky.

In Paris, Kam Zin Choon excels with Figurative or Abstract art, and according to his mood, with an Oriental inspiration, like "The Rice Fields" or "The Forbidden City", or with a Western classical Beaux-Arts style, when he draws series of "Nude Parisians". 

Kam Zin Choon explores cubist subjects with "Banjo Player" or works intensely on Abstraction art, with "Abstraction I" and "Abstraction II". Kam Zin Choon  excels as well with gorgeous inks where the mastering of Oriental art of calligraphy and ink mixes with a modern and western spirit, such as with his "bestiary". His horses are so alive, more vivid than a Xu Beihong, indeed his horses are like running on the paper, such as in "Horses races", and his " Boats Races" opens the world of our imagination.'
