Modella nello studio is a beautiful original lithograph on paper, realized by the Italian master Felice Casorati in 1946.

Hand-signed in pencil "F. Casorati" on lower left margin, and numbered in pencil on lower right margin.

Representing on eof the favorite Casorati's theme: the human bodies, with the unmistakable Italian master's touch, our specimen with full margins, from an edition of 100 prints, is very rare and precious although the burnished paper.

From the portfolio "Dieci Litografie (Numerus, Mensura, Pondus)" published in 1946 by La Collezione del Bibliografo, Tourin.

Unique edition of 100 prints numbered in Arabic numerals, plus 5 in Roman numerals. The ten lithographs were hand-printed, and the original plates immediately smoothed. All lithographs share the theme of the nude, one of the classic academic themes and a constant in the Casorati's production. The attention to the human body, very often in its nakedness, represents one of the most analyzed motifs by the Italian artist throughout his creative life.

"The nude of a woman becomes an almost obsessive and repeated presence within her work; it is the symbol of a rational search. The motto - Numerus, mensura, pondus -, which in its brevity gives us perhaps the closest intimate portrait of the man and the artist, helping us also to find the key to decode the mental attitude of his painting, proposes mathematical rules in the construction of the body that Casorati knows well and uses almost as mental schemes to construct his figures in 'inside the studio space or a room " writes Claudia Gianferrari.

Impressed immediately after the war, this folder is very rare.
