Presentation
After studying at the Instituto de Arte Contemporàneo, she specialized in graphic design and began creating ceramics with Lise Moller, and later took drawing and painting courses at the Centro Arte. Co-author of the book "Words of the Earth", a poetic journey around the work of contemporary ceramics in Chile, she was also curator of the specialized ceramic magazine ESTEKA. In 1991, she created her own workshop where she developed her sculptural work and founded an art school "El Arca" specialized in ceramics.
Her work is inspired by both Japanese calligraphy and painting, her inspirations are a way to create an image through the process of re-signification of contemporary objects and forms in connection with an ancestral history.
Isabel has received numerous international awards and her works can be found in many public and private collections around the world.
