Biography

Manyoly discovered the world of art through the representation of artists. Right since she turned 17, she had her own gallery, and continued this activity for six years. When she went to Asia, portrait work was a revelation for her. Once back, she opened a new gallery in Marseille and began painting women portraits simultaneously. She learned techniques and looked for her own unique style. Once mature enough, she began exhibiting and quickly lived off her work.

Manyoly's work is mainly inspired by her surroundings. Marseille remains a constant discovery for the artist, through it's rich contradictions. She also discovered urban art, and now practices it in the cities she visits. These influences can be seen in her work, through the profusion of bright colors, and one can distinctly perceive street art references. In her portraits, look is key: it communicates the essence of the work. The artists strives to explore new mediums constantly for each of her work: paper, painting on wood, working with palette knife, as she wants a perfect outcome.

Her portraits with universal colors are now exhibited permanently in France and Canada. Manyoly is listed in the Dictionary of Popular artists from the 15th century to nowadays (Guid’Arts).
