Anita Rautureau

Originally from Vendée, Anita Rautureau showed from an early age an innate disposition for drawing. It was therefore natural that she embarked on studies at the School of Applied Arts in Nantes, after which she joined the École normale supérieure for technical education in Toulouse.

Life is often played on encounters. For Anita Rautureau, it is the one with the painter and glassmaker Régis Gal that will guide her artistic life. This teacher becomes a master who initiates him to the creative act, because "art is to transcribe the infinite through the finite". From then on, color became his main medium for treating his subjects, often mythological at that time.

In 1990, she developed a passion for the history of the arts at the University of Applied Arts in Strasbourg. Klimt, with the appearance of his faces in the ornamental backgrounds, Picasso, with the freedom to represent reality in his own way, Sonia Delaunay or even Matisse and their frank colors with refined shapes, are real sources of inspiration.

Anita Rautureau's paintings sing about love, motherhood, the flavor of time, human well-being in the nature that envelops it. The shimmering colors are placed on floral, linear or spiral patterns, and the roundness of the lines and arabesques caress the senses of the viewer.

Anita's paintings are thus recognizable among all: admirably composed, twirling, imbued with a lot of femininity and sensuality, they exude optimism, even in her darker works.
