Beniko Choji, Born 1991 in Saitama, graduated in 2013 from Joshibi University of Art and Design. She starts her artist career as a designer for a jeweller's company where she creates custom handmade accessories. She however felt the need to go back to her passion: traditional Japanese painting.
Beniko Choji, although still very young, was immediately appraised for her talent in drawing women figures and the delicacy of her portraits. She was soon commissioned to design and paint the front covers for several famous Japanese novelist, such as Natsuo Kirino or Minato Shukawa.
She developed a very unique style, refined and modern, that has seduced many collectors in Japan but also several Asian countries.
