Made from hemp fibres, the piece unfolds through soft undulating waves and layered folds, evoking driftwood shaped over time by ocean tides. Its surface transitions through rich, earthy tones—from pale, weathered hues to deeper organic shades—reinforcing its connection to the natural world.

Through a sensitive and controlled manipulation of the material, the artist captures a sense of suspended motion, as if the form has been paused mid-transformation. Presentation

Silvana Ilieva graduated in Painting from the National School of Fine Arts, followed by Scenography at NATFA. She studied Digital Arts before obtaining a Master's degree in Fiber Arts from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia.Through her art, Silvana is looking for the secret harmony between humans, the Earth, and the universe. She works with space, explores the rhythm of nature, and creates visual narratives in which the viewer is also a co-creator. Through the use of different techniques, she aims for optimal freedom of artistic expression.
