Plastic artist and photographer
Marie-Rose Pisano develops a singular artistic approach around matter, the body, and human representation. Through photography and woodworking, she explores the forms, appearances, and transformations that reveal the presence of the human in their environment.
Her series "Anthropomorphs" testifies to her interest in the anthropomorphic forms that emerge from matter. Wood becomes a support for artistic exploration, revealing silhouettes and figures that are sometimes naive, sensitive, strange, or unsettling. Her work invites the viewer to discover a human dimension in sometimes unexpected forms.
With "Body in display," the artist also addresses the representation of the body through photography. She is interested in mannequins and display cases, visually questioning the boundary between human presence, appearance, and representation.
Her artistic universe is thus based on a dialogue between the real and the imaginary, between natural materials and constructed forms.
