Biography
Jean-Claude Fitoussi, known by his artist name Zafi, continues to be a prominent figure in contemporary art, renowned for his unique interpretation of cubism and his ability to merge diverse artistic styles. His work has garnered significant attention in the art market, with notable exhibitions at international art fairs in Zurich, Lausanne, Brussels, and Luxembourg. In 2023, his impressive body of work was recognized with a certificate of artistic merit by the Pinacothèque du Luxembourg Museum, further cementing his place in the global art scene. Zafi’s paintings, characterized by vibrant colors and geometric shapes, challenge the boundaries of cubism while often incorporating figurative elements, creating a distinctive visual language that captivates collectors worldwide.
Zafi's art is celebrated for its fusion of traditional cubist elements with modern interpretations, and his recent achievements include a collaboration with the Roullet Cognac house to release a limited edition of the cubist carafe XO ART DE ZAFI, marking the 250th anniversary of the prestigious brand. In addition to this, Zafi’s work continues to inspire both seasoned collectors and new art enthusiasts, offering pieces that fuse powerful emotion with abstract precision. His innovative style, blending cubism with figurative motifs, has garnered widespread acclaim, and his presence at major international art fairs and auctions ensures his continued success in the competitive art market.
Throughout his artistic journey, Zafi has remained dedicated to refining his craft, overcoming personal challenges such as significant loss of vision while continuing to produce remarkable works. His resilience and commitment to his art, paired with his ever-evolving style, have made him a respected figure in contemporary art circles. Collectors around the world seek Zafi’s work for its timeless appeal and the way it modernizes a classic movement, making it a valuable addition to any art collection.
