Lea Richelieu

Lea Richelieu (born 1990) is an international contemporary abstract artist based in Thailand, working primarily in oil on canvas.

Her artistic development encompasses hyperrealism and surrealism, alongside training with contemporary artists from Brazil, Portugal, Russia, Iran and Italy. She subsequently developed Relaxing Abstraction, a personal approach focused on compositional harmony, balance and emotional clarity.

Using a self-developed technique, Richelieu combines layers of oil paint, controlled brushwork and tactile textures. Her paintings explore softness, rhythm and movement, inviting viewers to slow their gaze and discover subtle relationships within the surface.

Having lived in seven countries and twenty-three cities, she brings an international perspective to her practice. Her artworks have been exhibited in more than ten countries and are held in private collections across twenty-five countries.

Since 2017, Richelieu has curated exhibitions and art events in collaboration with premium brands, including Porsche. She founded an international art school in 2020 and also works as an art dealer and art coach.

Her paintings connect material depth with a considered relationship to space, offering collectors and interior designers contemporary abstraction with a quiet, distinctive presence.
