Biography
Marcus Freeman was born and brought up in Cambridge. He moved to London to study at the former Hornsey School of Art, now part of Middlesex University. After graduating he worked in commercial design while developing his practice as a fine artist.
He chiefly produces acrylic paintings of abstracted urban landscapes and studies of the built environment in other media that explore the contradiction between clarity and atmosphere and our changing attitudes to hope and progress.
