Awakening | Blue Female Portrait with Coral Accents, 2026

Yuriy Khudov

A quiet woman emerges from cool blue shadow into soft warm light. This original oil artwork on paper captures a delicate moment of awakening and introspection. The female figure is painted in icy blue, gray, violet, and cream, with deep indigo anchoring the lower composition and small coral-red accents drawing attention to the face.

The blurred contours and gentle transitions give the figure an almost weightless quality. Her profile feels private and inward-looking, creating an atmosphere of calm, vulnerability, and light melancholy. Warm blush, peach, and apricot tones gradually enter the background, balancing the cooler body and suggesting a subtle movement toward light.

This contemporary figurative artwork is ideal for collectors who appreciate expressive female portraiture, psychological themes, restrained sensuality, and sophisticated color. It works especially well in a bedroom, reading space, living room, or modern interior where a quiet but emotionally resonant piece can be appreciated up close.
