Description
This abstract composition explores the relationship between nature and the imagination. The viewer encounters a stylized thicket, where vertical stems reach upward. The artist employs watercolor and pencil to create a delicate interplay of transparencies. The work is executed on a linden wood panel, overlaid with hemp paper. Hues of yellow and green dominate the center, evoking an intense, sun-drenched light—a luminous core that contrasts with deep blue and violet vertical bands in the background.
The base of the scene rests upon a fragmented geometric structure. Sharp, dark strokes delineate dynamic reflections across an aqueous surface. The line work is precise, alternating between chromatic softness and graphic rigor. The verticality of the lines draws the eye upward toward an uncluttered sky. The piece as a whole forms a dreamlike landscape, where organic shapes blend with architectural forms. This mixed-media technique lends a subtle depth to the botanical vision.
