Description
Liquid Luxury is a unique abstract painting created by Samia Kerkeni in 2024 through acrylic pouring, artistic pigments, metallic-gold accents and mixed fluid techniques on canvas.
Against an expansive luminous-white ground, currents of deep navy, turquoise, mineral blue, bronze and gold drift, collide and dissolve across the composition. The movement of the pigments creates a refined visual territory suspended between water, stone, marble and an aerial landscape.
The generous white areas provide breathing space around the flowing forms. This openness gives the artwork its distinctive balance between energy and minimalism. The darker blue passages establish structure and depth, turquoise introduces freshness and movement, while bronze and gold create warmth, elegance and luminous intensity.
Kerkeni created the painting through a controlled pouring process. Working with acrylic colours and pigments of different densities, she guided their movement while preserving the spontaneous reactions occurring between the materials. The pigments merge, separate and reorganise themselves into organic cells, delicate lines and intricate chromatic transitions.
Although the overall direction of the composition is deliberately orchestrated, its smallest structures emerged naturally during the physical interaction of the materials. These formations cannot be recreated identically, making Liquid Luxury a genuinely unique and unreproducible original artwork.
Gold plays an essential role in the composition. Rather than functioning as simple decoration, it creates visual bridges between the cool blues and the luminous white ground. Its metallic presence changes subtly according to the surrounding light and viewing angle.
The completed surface has been treated with a professional protective acrylic medium. This finish provides enhanced resistance to UV exposure and atmospheric humidity while helping preserve the brilliance, depth and stability of the pigments.
On the reverse, the artist has handwritten the statement:
“Beauty is found in the unpredictable currents."
This phrase expresses the philosophy behind the work. Beauty is presented not as something entirely controlled, but as something capable of emerging through movement, transformation and openness to the unexpected.
Liquid Luxury is entirely handcrafted and is not a print, reproduction or edition. It is hand-signed “S. Kerkeni" on the front and signed, titled and fully documented on the reverse.
The artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Abstract Art Gallery and protected by the gallery's lifetime authenticity guarantee.
