Description

This geometric composition balances analytical precision with emotional warmth. The artist uses a structured arrangement of shapes to explore an inner landscape. A vibrant pink circle anchors the upper center. It floats above two overlapping orange spheres. These forms create a rhythmic symmetry against a background of sharp angles and deep blues.
The color palette transitions fluidly from cool tones to fiery yellows and reds. A central diamond shape descends toward a dark base. This creates a sense of gravitational pull and spiritual alignment. The interplay of acrylic layers produces a flat yet luminous surface. Long diagonal lines guide the eye across the canvas. They suggest a fusion of mathematical order and intuitive expression.
The artwork reflects a disciplined approach to abstraction. It transforms simple polygons and arcs into a complex visual meditation. Each edge is crisp. Every hue is intentional. The result is a harmonious dialogue between form and color that evokes a feeling of centeredness. This 2024 painting exemplifies a sophisticated understanding of spatial equilibrium through the use of primary shapes and bold pigments.

Realising the consciousness or Self is realising the Universe and its Source. Connecting with this light within is also then a path of connecting with the Source. The Self series of works celebrates this connection with the Self.

Neerja Chandna Peters enjoys achieving fluid harmony through the play of lines, their symmetrical synchronicity and rhythmic interplay, manipulating tones, saturation, and values, thus creating subtle optical movement with their variable refrangibility. In her compositions, lines and light are not merely aesthetic choices but act as conduits leading the viewer to a space of stillness and contemplation. Over time, she has come to understand that clarity often lies in reduction. A single color or the movement of a line can evoke a profound resonance when approached with intention. This practice focuses as much on the process as the result. It is about finding balance, not only on the canvas, but within. The act of creating becomes a reflection of this alignment, a moment when the finite touches the infinite, and the work itself becomes an offering.
