Description
This abstract composition plays on an earthy and organic palette. Ocher, brown, and beige tones dominate the space. The eye circulates between irregular geometric shapes. They interlock like fragments of rock or geological reliefs.
The line is assertive. Black outlines delineate areas of contrasting colors. There is a work on the material. The paint is applied in successive layers. Granular textures appear on the surface.
The framing is structured by a brick red border. This line frames the heart of the painting. At the bottom, a horizontal band brings visual balance. It presents lighter and fragmented touches.
The whole conveys an impression of stability. The dialogue between the filled and empty spaces creates a subtle depth. The artist explores here the relationship between form and raw material. The final rendering evokes an imaginary landscape or primitive architecture. Each colored area dialogues with its neighbor through shades of brown and gray.
