Inspired by the rich red earth of Eastern Nigeria, where I come from, this body of work explores the connection between land, heritage, and childhood memories. For generations, our ancestors used this red mud to build their huts, making it an important part of our traditional way of life. Beyond its cultural significance, it holds a special place in my childhood memories. I remember how my brother and I would play in the red mud, making little sandcastles and turning the earth into our playground. Through this series, I revisit those memories, celebrating the beauty of our land, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the simple joys of growing up.
