Series: Quiet Rituals

In this work, the artist explores the freedom of embracing one's individuality and finding joy in the unexpected. A cat-like figure, dressed in an unusual outfit, sits comfortably in an armchair, holding a mysterious deep-sea creature as if it were an ordinary companion. The surreal encounter creates a playful contrast between the familiar and the extraordinary, inviting the viewer to reconsider the boundaries of everyday life.

The character's relaxed posture and confident presence suggest a quiet rebellion against conventional expectations. The surrounding objects — a trophy, a cup of tea, and a pair of dumbbells — introduce subtle references to achievement, routine, and self-improvement, while the strange creature becomes a symbol of the freedom to choose one's own path.

Through this imaginative scene, the artist reflects on the importance of allowing ourselves to be different, to embrace our contradictions, and to create personal rituals that bring genuine happiness. Sometimes, the most meaningful form of freedom is the ability to stop trying to fit into the world and simply enjoy being ourselves.
