Description
The horizon stretches in a breath of azure. This acrylic painting captures the essence of a moving landscape. The gaze glides over a horizontal composition where the sky and water merge.
A dark line crosses the center. It evokes a distant shore or a sea wake. The gesture is sure, fast, almost musical. The artist lets the material guide the form.
Blue dominates. It varies from light turquoise to immaculate white. Touches of black and brown anchor the scene. The light seems to emanate from the bottom of the painting. It creates an effect of transparency and depth.
The abstract style here favors suggestion. The observer projects their own vision onto this organized void. The structure relies solely on the balance of hues. It is a study on the passage of time and the fluidity of elements.
This creation dates from 2026. It illustrates a self-taught approach where nature becomes a visual score. The final rendering relies on an elegant sobriety and great serenity.
Presentation
Nicolas Ruelle is a French painter and composer born in 1969 in Argenteuil. He studied Letters and Arts and then became a composer for the French television. His passion for painting led him to explore this universe as an autodidact. He currently lives and works in Vendee, where he opened a music studio as well as his first painting studio.
Nicolas Ruelle's paintings represent mainly landscapes. He draws his inspirations mostly from the nature that surrounds him , the artist makes his two passions correspond to each other. His musical reseach is reflected on his pictorial creations. the colors play an important role in his pieces, since they are the structure of his paintings. The shapes are not only suggested, giving more freedom for interpretation to the observer. The artist represent nature in motion. His brush does not capture an precise moment, on the contrary it allows the object evolve by itself, as the absolute master of the painting.
Nicoles Ruelle exhibits his work regularly in France and Belgium.
